Empowerment means having authority or power of doing something such as taking decisions or making some activities happen. In our country, there is a superior evil called patriarchal behavior. This system harms us and our nation in several ways. Women are born with equal rights as men; God has not made anyone superior and inferior on basis of gender. We people make this difference and discriminations on the ground of gender. Females are always the second priority in India for every task. From birth to death women face many discriminations and atrocities. For abolishing this system women should be empowered.

When a girl child is born they are many times said to be the jinx in many areas of our country. Women infanticide was common in India and there were no strict laws against this crime. Since birth, they are not given equal rights and importance as boys are given. In the past few years, women were not allowed to go to school, they were kept far from education. If women are given correct and enough education then they can be self-sufficient. Women are taken for granted always. There is huge discrimination between employment opportunities for men and women. There is a difference in the salaries given to men and women for the same designation of the job.

Women can lead the country to a higher level of development and success.

As women empowerment increases, gender discrimination is decreasing and it maintains gender equality. Women get the rights to choose their career and lead them. They are good decision makers. It makes women more powerful and able to face any challenges in life, to overcome disabilities and inequalities.
