But in this rat race, we have forgotten that it is taking a toll on our health. Today’s lifestyle choice, rising social media, advancement in the technology has made us lazy. Today we need technology for everything. The movie “Wall-E” perfectly depicts our possible future of humankind where we solely depend on the technology for the survival. Life is a game and to win this race there’s not an electronic device which can help you. There’s an old-school way and that is the sports.

Today’s education system has so many loopholes. It puts a vast burden on students to excel in academics. Students are pressured by their parent to score top ranks and be the first in every exam. This drive students away from the sports. In our society sports are considered bad for academics.  In many schools, the sport is an optional field and that’s the reason why most of the students and even their parents and teachers are not aware of the importance of sports in our life. In this article, we are going to tell you how necessary it is in today’s competitive world to play sports which are important not only for physical health but also for mental health. Today, we are going to discuss the importance of sports for students and in our daily life. There are two types of games indoor and outdoor games. Studies have shown that children who are more physically active are less likely to suffer from health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart diseases later in life. In this fast-paced world, junk food has become a norm in the diet. Obesity is one of the major problems faced by the children around the world. Nowadays children are seen spending more time in front of the TV, playing video games rather than playing outdoors.  This has reduced the physical activity of them to a very large extent.

Kids who spend most of their time in the home rather than playing with other kids are seen to have problems like anxiety, difficulty to make friends, depression too. Sports encourage teamwork, trust, confidence and better synchronization between the body and the brain. they learn to plan and work together to win. Sports brings together the people of different castes, religions and ethnicities together without any difference. It promotes the emotions of we are the citizens of a more bigger society which is the world. Hence sports are very important for children in their early age to reduce many diseases and for having good physical and mental health.

Importance of Sports for Students in Academic and Personal Life

Today’s competitive world has affected our life to a very deep extent. Excessive pressure on the students to excel in their academics is keeping them away from the sports unless they are pursuing a career in sports. Sometimes parents pressurize their children to achieve higher grades in exams and tests. The fear of losing makes students study beyond they could handle, sacrificing personal as well as social life and also the sports. This is observed frequently in the Asian countries like India, Japan, China etc.

In order to excel in life rather than just the studies, students need to participate in the sports too. Sports helps students to increase their concentration and focus. Sports When a student is physically fit he/she is more likely to be good in the academics too. Sports help students to have qualities like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sacrifice, and accountability. It helps them to relax and it it is also very helpful to fight depression and stress.

Discipline is the key to success. This saying carries a great value in a student’s life. It creates self-confidence which leads to success and happiness. Sports teaches us how to be disciplined. A team without discipline and teamwork cannot win the game. Maintaining proper discipline enhances the chances of winning your team also other people who watch you can be influenced by your discipline. Like discipline, courage & patience are the two important qualities you can get and can build only on the playground. Courage and patience help us to reach our goals.

Importance of Sports and Games in Our Daily Life

Life is full of ups and downs. We all have to face various kinds of problems in our day to day life but in that case, you need to be strong and you should have that much capability to challenge the problem. Sports create a challenging environment and once you have that strength to challenge any obstacles you become a person who is daring, adventurous, dashing and also capable enough of facing challenges in life. If you have the sporty spirit you will never have a fear of losing in a game of life and even if you win you will never be overconfident.

“Time is Money.” And whoever learns to control the time, win the game. In sports fraction of seconds, minutes holds a great value. While playing any game it may happen that you either lose or win by few seconds or minutes. It teaches you to be alert and focused on your goal. Sports help us the time management. Opportunity comes with the time so it is necessary to do things as early and quickly as possible.


Sports is not just playing on the playground. Sports give many life lessons and encourage qualities like discipline, courage, punctuality, teamwork, trust. Sports make us physically as well as mentally healthy. So, to win the game of life, let’s first go to the playground.

Tips for the Essay

  1. Essays generally have three main parts which are introduction, advantages & disadvantages and conclusion so divide your content into these three main sections logically.
  2. Don’t interrupt the flow between the sections.
  3. Conclude your topic in 2-4 lines but that lines must be inspiring.
  4. Leave some space at the beginning of the page and then start writing your essay.
  5. Make use of dark ink pen.
  6. It is ok if your handwriting is not good but at least, try to keep your essay neat and clean.

Tips for the Speech

  1. Don’t just mug up the speech. Try to add your views and thoughts and describe it in your own words.
  2. Speech acts as a medium to convey your message. So while giving a speech, your hand movements and gesture will convey your emotions in the better way.
  3. Avoid mumbling and make less use of fillers as it will create a bad impression on the audience and you may feel less confident.
  4. Maintain eye contact with the audience.
  5. Don’t make your speech boring to make it more interesting crack some jokes or share some related moments.
  6. Be audible to all the audience. Being loud will increase your confidence.
  7. If you have stage fear then try simple exercise at home. Just stand in front of the mirror and start speaking so that you will get know your mistakes and it will increase your confidence.
