You have seen many of your friends sharing their funny photos having ears and nose of the dog on their face. Snapchat offers much more that, let’s explore.

What is Snapchat?

It is a mobile app that allows you to send pictures and videos, which will self-destruct after few seconds of the person viewing them. Let’s simplify more. You a picture something, added some customization like emojies, hand drawn clipart, applied some prebuilt effect, set a timer of 5 seconds and then sent it to friend/s who is also on Snapchat. Your friends get a notification in his inbox, he can now see your sent pic for 5 seconds only. Why 5 seconds because you set 5-second view limit on it. After those 5 seconds of viewing your sent picture will be automatically deleted from your friend’s phone. He is never going to see that same picture later. That is the basic concept. You can have view limit from 1 second to 10-second max. Same is the rule for videos. Remember that you can take video of 10 seconds only.

There are a lot of advanced things in taking, customizing and sending pics or vids. We are coming up with all that stuff in “Snapchat 101” guide. Follow us to learn it all.

Why Snapchat?

There are a lot of other apps which allow to send pictures and videos then why to use Snapchat? Snapchat says “Live in the moment”. On other apps when you send media it stays with that person, until and unless he decides to delete it. It may be used for unfriendly purposes. With Snapchat you set viewing time limit then that media gets completely deleted from Snapchat server and receiver’s phone. Yes, it gets deleted from receiver’s phone. And that’s is a special thing about Snapchat.
